Adena Corporation provided general contractor services for the construction of the Akron Children’s Health Center in Mansfield. Adena self-performed steel fabrication and erection, concrete, and masonry for this new 34,350 SF facility, which brings together pediatric primary care, urgent care and several pediatric care practices and rehabilitation services in one location. An abundance of natural light is a focus of the entrance area and childfriendly colors and aesthetics are found throughout. The space includes: 26 exam rooms, labs, radiology and echo cardiogram rooms, and areas for exercise, therapy, and treatment. An indoor track connects to an outdoor path for patients learning or re-gaining skills with walkers or bicycles.
